Hi, I'm Chris Freytag and today I'm gonna help you with your push-ups. Push-ups are an awesome sign of strength, and they're a bodyweight exercise that you can do anywhere, anytime. So let me help you with your form so you're successful. Here's what you're gonna do, you're gonna place your hands comfortably on to the mat, and you're gonna pull your shoulders over your wrists. Now, I'm gonna come on to my toes and I'll show you modifications later. Couple of things you want to be mindful of, first of all, don't scrunch your neck, you want your shoulders away from your ears. Don't try to wing your elbows out but just let them naturally fall behind. When you come down to the mat, all the way down, and then push back up all the way up through your chest and shoulders and arms. All the way down, all the way up. Now, if you want to modify you can drop down to your knees for that knee push-up. Or if you want a little less body weight pushing into it put your butt in the air, and practice that way. If you're a newbie with push-ups then maybe you want to start with your hands on a chair a little elevated, or even into the side of a wall, which is going to help you. And one last pointer, full range of motion. This is not a push-up. You want to come all the way down and all the way up. Pump 'em out, and keep practicing a few every day, and you will feel yourself getting stronger.
