While do a lunge, are you pushing up with your back leg? Or, are you pressing up with your front leg?

Hi, I'm Chris Freytag. Squats and lunges are the best way to get a firm and strong, lower body. So today I want to focus on lunges and help you with your form so you can feel successful. When you're doing a lunge, you're gonna come into a split stance, one foot forward and one foot behind. You want to have enough space between the feet that when you lower down, your back knee points straight down to the floor and bends down. Front knee should track over the top of the shoes and you should keep your chest and heart lifted. Eyes forward. None of this kind of action. So it's a down and up motion, not a forward, back motion. When you lower down, you're on that back toe, so you are requiring some balance. Knee points down and pull back up. You can have your hands at your sides or use them for counterbalance, down and up and make sure you do lunges on both sides.
