People get completely frustrated, and they almost get too intimidated from the idea of exercise and getting into shape. And you know what, again, like I said, any movement is good movement. Get started. If you have 10 minutes a day, let's take 10 minutes together, and let's have some fun, let's shed some fat, let's sweat, let's laugh about it. Do it in the privacy of your own home. And maybe tomorrow you have 20 minutes, maybe, and again, variety. I've always been a creature of change. Love things different all the time. Unfortunately, for my poor family, things are always changing. But you know what? Maybe one day, you wake up, 10 minutes of abs, 10 minutes of legs. Maybe one day you feel like doing some arm exercises or yoga stretching. Maybe you're up for some cardiovascular. Whatever it is, I've divided these videos into 10-minute segments, so you can pick something different every day. Whether you've got 10 minutes or 30 minutes, go for it and have fun. What is it that's gonna motivate me? What is it that excites you? And I always tell people too, do what you like to do. Why are you doing what you hate to do, right? Life's too short for that. Find something that you like to do. We all express ourselves in different ways. And do something that gets that heart pumping, strength train, do some cardiovascular activity, increase your range of motion. You will feel better. Our bodies are like calorie-burning machines, and you fuel it with food. So think about it. What choices are you gonna make of food that you're gonna put in your body? We all know the bad, better, best, right? And the bad choices are very easy to make because they're quick, they're fast, they're convenient. And sometimes we do have to work a little harder to find those better, good choices. But I always tell people, eat clean. That's the best diet I know. Tell me every day, have you eaten anything that came from a plant, an animal, or a tree? Have you eaten anything that is live food during the day? That's what matters. Knowledge is power, right? The more you know, the better you are. Lack of information can hurt you. And I challenge you to look at the labels of food. Look at the ingredients. Look at the number of chemicals and processed items in there. Look at sugar. Where is it on the list of ingredients? If it's number one or number two, you're probably not making the best food choice you could. Muscle eats fat. Did you hear what I said? Muscle eats fat. I always repeat that because muscle is that hidden secret, especially for women, to keep that metabolism revved. I love it when someone says, "I have this friend that can eat whatever she wants, "and she never gains any weight." You know what? I bet she has more muscle on her body than the other person. Muscle eats more calories during the day at a resting heart rate than fat does. So I always joke people, if you're sitting next to me, and I have 10 pounds more muscle, guess what? I'm burning more calories than you are, just sitting here, sitting still. So it's that hidden secret. To boost your metabolism, you have to put a little muscle on. I've always been a high-energy person. I've always been really full of movement, full of energy, passionate about what I do. I always look from a positive attitude, but I grew up in a family of five kids, and we were all oh-so-different. And that's the beauty of it, we are all different. It's a great thing that even my kids, I have three kids, they all have different personalities and see things from different perspectives. And that's the beauty of human nature. But you know what? When it boils down to it, we all have that inner drive. It's different for everybody, but we all can achieve goals if we put our minds to it.
