Chris will explain optional add-ins like berries or spices (and don’t forget the maple syrup) to customize your protein-packed pancakes to suit your taste.

Hi, I'm Chris Freytag, and today I'm going to show you how to make delicious, healthy, and easy two ingredient protein pancakes. All you need is a single egg and a ripe banana and voila. You have got a protein packed breakfast or snack. To get started, peel your banana and cut it into chunks. Place in a bowl and mash it up with a fork or a whisk. Next add your egg to the mashed banana and stir them together. At this point, if you'd like, add about a quarter teaspoon of ground cinnamon, or an eighth teaspoon of nutmeg, or whatever spice you would like and stir it together. Next, melt about a teaspoon of coconut oil, which is what we like in a fry pan or a griddle. Place the mixture onto the hot pan and cook for about two minutes on each side. You have to flip the pancake carefully and don't be alarmed by the darker color. Bananas have natural sugars, which tend to make them darker. Next, take it off the griddle, place it on a plate, serve with berries, syrup, or additional banana slices and enjoy.
