Verbally committing to get fit is one thing, but actually taking action is another, and many people abandon their fitness plans after a few days or don’t even start at all out of fear of failure. The truth is, it’s never too late to get started on your fitness journey, and we’re here to show you why.
Whether you’ve never been into exercise before or you used to work out, but haven’t made it a priority over the last few years, we’re here to remind you why it’s never too late to get fit and make fitness a priority—and encourage you to push past that doubt and just get started!
Reason #1: Getting Healthy Is a Long Game
Sure, you could lose ten pounds and eat only carrot sticks for a week, but is that kind of change going to be lasting? Can you really carry that on for the rest of your life? If not, then it’s not going to do you much good (other than making your weight yo-yo). It doesn’t matter if you started making healthy choices ten years ago or not—what matters is right here, right now.
What are you going to choose from here on out that will be sustainable and healthy? Maybe it’s committing to working out three days a week. To start, those workouts may be walking, but in a little while, you’ll be jogging, lifting weights, or even kickboxing!
Reason #2: There Are More Ways to Work Out Now Than Ever
There are so many workout options out there today that you don’t have to settle for doing something you don’t enjoy. Do you absolutely loathe running? You don’t need to. Try walking, take up swimming, or go for interval workouts that add plenty of variety. Get bored during your workouts? Try a group class or shake things up with dance workouts. The point is, working out and trying to get fit doesn’t need to be something you loathe. It should be a reward, not a punishment. Get Healthy U TV provides dozens of fun, upbeat workouts you can watch from the comfort of your home and tons of ways to add variety to your exercise routine.
Reason #3: Getting Started Doesn’t Have to Be Scary
So often, the first step is the hardest. You might be thinking: I want to get fit and start working out, but where do I even begin? We created this beginner workout routine to show you exactly what to do every day for 28 days to kick-start your new fitness journey. With workouts ranging from walking, cardio, strength training, Pilates, and yoga, this calendar will give you everything you need—including plenty of variety—to start getting in shape.
Reason #4: You Can Learn and Grow at Any Age
We’re going back to the old saying, “knowledge is power.” What you don’t know can hurt you and what you do know can help. Education is a gift at any age! It’s a cop-out to say, “I really don’t care,” when what you’re actually saying is, “I really don’t understand.”
Do you want to understand your hormones better, or finally figure out how protein works in the body? We’ve got you covered. Do you want to know more about how muscle affects your metabolism? We are here to help. All you need to do is be honest, be vulnerable, and learn more, and you will take better care of yourself and your family.
We believe you’re never too old and it’s never too late to get fit and get started on your fitness goals. So get started today with Get Healthy U TV, and download our Beginner’s Calendar to kick-start your journey to better health!
Thanks! Looking forward to your help.
