Barre Strong: Barre Arms and Abs Workout
Lindsey BomgrenReady for some amazing arms and abs? Join Lindsay, Chris and Kate for this 20-minute barre arms and abs workout where you will work your upper body, arms and core muscles using a variety of barre and strength movements. If you haven’t tried a barre workout before, you will notice that many of the moves are smaller and more intense. In addition, you will do many repetitions! This will feel different than other things you have tried but you’ll notice your muscles burning very quickly! If you want to sculpt a strong upper body you must try this workout! And have no fear, we have more barre workouts for you to try once you power through this baby!
Before you start this barre arms and abs workout grab yourself a few different sizes of dumbbells. You can use anything 2 pounds to 5 pounds weights. Even soup cans in your kitchen will work. And of course if you choose to skip the weights and just try range of motion with your own body that will work too!
After a short warm-up Lindsay will take you right into your upper body strength moves. What great upper body challenge would be complete without push-ups? That’s where it all begins: push-ups and planks. Then you’ll move right into some shoulder work with the dumbbells as well as great bicep moves with a little leg work for bonus! Triceps come next to make sure you don’t have arms that wave even after you are done waving! The core work happens throughout the ENTIRE workout, but there are some great ab exercises included to challenge you. Not only that, but you’ll be pushed for a nice little cardio burst toward the end! Burn those calories!
