So many people, especially women, are afraid of picking of heavy weights out of fear that they might get big and bulky. Nothing could be further from the truth. Lifting heavy weights helps make you more compact and gives you tighter, stronger muscles throughout your entire body. The result of lifting heavy weights is more muscle, and muscle is your friend. Muscle increases metabolism and helps you burn more calories all day long. Plus, while muscle might be heavy, it is compact. Think of a strong muscle as being tight like t a fist, while fat is light but spread out taking up more space in your body and making you bigger.

These Serious Strength videos are like having your own private personal training session in your home. Chris Freytage, Leah Zahner and Lindsay Bomgren will take you through each move step by step ensuring you lift weights with good form and create good habits for future workouts. Every workout comes with modifications in case you need them, as well as options for putting your weights down whenever you need to! The goal is to work to muscle fatigue, so if you burn out before the last couple reps then you have done your job!
